Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Could Launch On September 29
A leak courtesy of tipster IceUniverse on Weibo has revealed the launch date of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold. It will debut on September 29, 2025 alongside a bunch of other Samsung products. However, don’t get your hopes too high yet as the launch might be limited to South Korea and China.
Similar to Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition last year, the TriFold could be exclusive to Samsung’s home market. Based on previous rumours, the tri-fold could be similar to Huawei Mate XT in terms of design with an inwards folding hinge.
It will sport a 9.96-inch when fully unfolded and a 6.54-inch one when partially folded. Just like the Z Fold 7, it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold could also pack silicon carbon battery something which the brand has been reluctant to adopt. The phone will ship with One UI 8 based on Android 16 and will boast a triple camera setup on the back.Other expected features include NFC and wireless charging which could be a first for the trifold device.
The Galaxy Z Tri-Fold will have limited availaibility in China and South Korea. The company is expected to manufacture around 3 lakh units given the niche market. It will also be the most expensive phone from Samsung yet with a price tag of around $3000 (approximately Rs.2,64,000).
