Origin OS 6 Features: What’s New?

Compared to FunTouch OS 15, OriginOS brings plenty of changes across the board.

  1. Redesigned Quick Settings: Gone is the outdated Android 11 like quick settings found in FunTouch OS 15. Instead you get a much more modern split quick settings with Origin OS 6 that looks similar to OxygenOS and HyperOS.
  2. Fluid Animations: Those janky old school animations typical of FunTouch OS will be soon a thing of the past. With Origin OS 6, you get smooth parallax animations that are very close to iOS.
  3. Liquid Glass: Inspired by the latest iOS 26, Origin OS 6 brings Liquid Glass to Android with its touch of flair. With frosted glass effects and the Vivo Sans font, it looks beautiful in its own way. It has geometric lighting effects with rounded corners that are eerily similar to iOS.
  4. Atomic Island For Live Updates: Like every other Chinese manufacturer, Vivo has its own spin on Apple’s Dynamic Island called the Atomic Island. It will show live updates for delivery apps, ongoing timer, music playback etc.
  5. AI Features No operating system is complete without AI features and Origin OS 6 will be packed with it. It is likely to bring features like AI Live cutout, AI Erase, AI Translation, AI Transcript, AI Live Text, AI Note Assist and AI Call Translation
  6. Lockscreen Customization : Origin OS 6 revamps the lockscreen with liquid glass elements. You get a large clock with glass effect with support for depth effect wallpapers. The media player has also been redesigned for the lockscreen with a full screen album art.
  7. Stacked Notifications: Vivo is borrowing another page out of iOS with its stacked notifications. You will see a stack of notifications on your lockscreen just like your iPhone peers.
  8. Improvements In Performance: Origin OS 6 brings better optimization across the board resulting in smoother performance. Compared to Origin OS 5, you get 11 per cent faster app launches, 57 per cent faster app touch response times and better multitasking capabilites.
